Ye Haw, Twenty-one!!!

I am finally twenty-0ne!!! This birthday was one of the best that I have every had! It started off waking up at 6 am, which is only one of the two bad things about yesterday, getting dress and having red velvet birthday cake for breakfast. Once I was stuffed with my favorite cake I headed of to school, which as you can guess was the second bad part about yesterday. I was stuck in class from eight to two twenty. After class is when my day really begin and the fun started. Once out of class I met up with James where I received my birthday gifts which were the book House rules, and a mani and pedi. After receiving my gifts we headed to target so I could spend some birthday money, on a new DVD player. Next we headed to spec's and I bought my first alcoholic beverage, for which i did not even get carded.

Once arriving back home I got dress for my special night at road house! Every one arrived at road house around seven so the party could begin. There were eight guess in total to help my sister and I bring in our twenty first in style. I will not go into detail, the pictures should speak for themselves but I do have to say, it was a blast! The pictures will speak for their selves! After eating we all headed to James' apartment to play a game of kings! During the course of the night I had five different drinks which included a margarita, a big shot of something blue, a shot of tequila rose, a pina colada, and a shot of crown. I hope you enjoy the pictures!

A perfect day wrapped in love

Ah, it feels so good to put down the books for a little while and just write! I have been reading four chapters a day for my class plus reading a book for a book report my brain is tried from taking in all of the information. Last weekend, or should I last Sunday, the forth, James and I had a pretty perfect independence day, very unusually, but none the less a great day in my book. We started off the day with going to the movies to see Eclipse. I was surprised when James offered to take me, seeing he had suffered through it once, since he had to preview it, but found it very sweet of him to watch it again with me for FREE! Free being the best part, of course. I have to say that out of all the movies this one was by far the best, although I did notice some difference in the movie from the book, none to major though. After watching the movie we rushed back to the apartment and quickly got dress for two of our best friends wedding. I was a little aggravated that I only had fifteen minutes to get dress, but I did it, none the less.
All in all I have to say the wedding was beautiful and fun but VERY HOT. I don't know what Leslie and Kody were thinking when they decided to have an out door wedding in the middle of summer. Below are pictures from the wedding and reception with captions of what is going on.
James thought he was too cool to take off his glasses Exchanging rings and Vowles, and yes he does have a blue mohock. Brides Maids objecting Grooms men objecting Walking down the aisle after they said I do. A good fount view of leslie's dress. Me and the lovely bride at the reception. Both her and Kody did change out of their wedding attire for the reception. The grooms men singing my girl to the BrideIt is hard to tell all the guys who went on the floor to catch the guarder are dancing to the song jump on it. If you notice James is in the very back right hand corner. This is the first time I have ever seen him dance and was shock. I enjoyed watching him have a great time with his buddies and enjoy the fact he got to talk and catch up with them.

Once leaving the wedding we headed back to temple and on the way back, we did get to see some fireworks! James and I also played a game that was played at the wedding between the bride and the groom. It was a game to see how well they knew each other and which was probably more likely to do something. I do have to say again in this blog that James and I playing this game was again his ideal, which again shocked me, because he never likes things of this short. One of the questions that was asked is who do you think is the better cook, and I though james would agree with me, and say me, but he did not. I told him I was never cooking again for him, joking of course, and since then have already cooked for him. Seeing fireworks and playing the game was a great romintic ending to a great day.

Emerson, Ivory, and Ice Cream

Today, my sister and I traveled to Brenhem to vista one of our close friends, one that you might as well call our older sister! You might ask why we drove all the way down there just too see a friend and the answer is, it is a half way point between Temple and Houston and it has Blue Bell Ice Cream! Ivory, our close friend, and her son, Emerson (that I clam as my nephew) are down from Kentucky visiting family and had to make sure they saw amanda and I before they left. We wanted an activity in which we all would enjoy and one that Emerson could tag along. I do have to say it was quite interesting to learn and see how Blue Bell makes their Ice Creaming and see the fresh ingredients that they put in their ice cream. One of the interesting things we learned is that if you buy Blue Bell icecream and it has a brown lid, opposed to a gold lid, you will pay a slightly higher price because it has more ingredients, such as fruit or cookie dough in it. Other interesting things that I learned today, was how big my Emerson has gotten. He was no longer the quite little baby, I once bottle feed, but now is instead he is a signing runner Amanda and I on our way to Blue Bell Ivory and Emerson with his hat Just being stupid.

After we had our Ice cream, we decide to get some lunch. We decided to eat at Casa ole, and arrive there around two o'clock, however, did not eat though until three o'clock, because of catch up talk. The only thing that reminded us that we need to order was Emerson, letting us know he was hungry. After eating we stayed and talked and played with Emerson a little while longer and then hit the road. I wish we could have had more time with them, but every one has busy lives. It is good know however, that no matter how long I go with out seeing or maybe even really talking to Ivory, we can spend five minute around one another and feel as a day has not passed since we last talked and feel comfortable with one another.

For the ride home, I entertained myself with a book from my favorite author, James Crawford. I am glad to say I am finally coughed up on his book, and I have loved every minute of it.

Summer...but no vacation

Wow it has be a while since i have wrote. I have been on the go a lot lately. May mini-mester went very well. I took Personal and Business finance and I have to say that it is probably the easiest class have taken in college. All that was required was that we have two articles a day and complete two open book, online test. (If classes in college can get easier then that, then I don't think it would be worth my time to take them.) Although I am glad that class was easy I kind of wish it was a little harder, to keep me in the mode of pushing myself, so that I would not find it so hard to motivate myself to work on the things for the two classes I am in this month. I am taking weight training and Global competition in business. Although most of you would say I don't need to work out, I disagree with you. I am way out of shape and need to get back in shape. I am hoping this class gives me the push I need to make working out part of my weekly life.

In other news I have had three interviews within the last month. Two were with the same employer and one was with a different employer. The most recent, which is at a b
ank said they would love to hire me, but said, they could not unless I switched my school schedule around in July were I do not have a class in the middle of the day. I was able to talk with the teacher who is teaching the class and he said we could work something out. I have e-mailed the person that I interviewed with, but have not heard anything back. I am keeping my fingers crossed, hoping that I can get this one because it is a personnel banker position and that is one of the things I have thought about doing with my degree after I graduate, and I want to see if it is something I would like doing.

Other then going to school, working, and having interviews, the most interesting thing I have done is lay by the pool side with james and tan. The other thing I guess worth mentioning is cooking dinner and baking for James. In the past month I have cooked Chicken fettuccini alfredo, Balsamic honey glazed pork chops, sweet and sour pork chops, home made pizza, puppy chow, strawberry pie, and just today Pecan dream bars, which I took up to james' work so they could have a sweet treat. Sorry to say the only picture of cooking I have is of me making the pizza. I just get so caught up in what I am doing I forget to take pictures. For me cooking is a stress reliever. Well I guess that is about it.

Some news on James for Mrs. Dr. Crawford. He has just finished writing the 12 chapter in his book, sadly to say I have only gotten to chapter 9, but what I have read is creative and very interesting. I know you will look forward to reading it. As you already know his bedroom at home is spotless!!! I promise to put picture of it on my next blog! And lastly he continues to look for a big boy job. I think not getting hired at HEB, discouraged him a little, but he is still looking for things he might be interested in, and applying to not all but some of them.

Fun Date Days!

About a week and a half ago, James in I decided to enjoy the nice weather that we have had in Central Texas and decided to spend some time outdoors. One of the few things that you can do around this area outdoors is Putt Putt golf and so that is what we decided to do. We had a blast! I can't tell you who actually won though b/c at the first whole it took us each about five shot, so we decided not to keep score. I can say though that we both got a whole and one!!!

That evening, since I cooked last James thought he would be sweet and cook me dinner. Neither one of us, had ever attempted to made Chicken Cordon Blue, so this is what he decided to make. With it we had corn and twice backed potatoes. If your looking for a quick meal to make, hear is a meal for you. I have to say it was delicious!!!

Last night was the concert, that James and have been looking forward to for awhile now. The bands that played were power man five thousand, 10 Years, Flyleaf, and Three days Grace. All I can say is it was AWESOME! The two bands that I enjoyed the most were Flyleaf and Three days Grace, I think James will tell you them same thing. Before Three days Grace started playing they put something on the floor and I kept wondering what it was for. James told me they were probably going to do some piro. I told him, no their not that kind of band, but sure enough he was right. The songs they did it with went perfect with the fire. I do have to say though I was kind of disappointed b/c I did not get to buy a shirt. Most of the shirts were thirty dollars and the shirt I wanted was forty, and I was not going to pay that much! Sorry there are not more pictures. It was dark and my flash is not that great, so I was only able to get pictures of there days grace b/c they had the stage well lit. =(.

Waiting for Three days Grace to come on stage.

The stage changed colors depending on what album the song came from.

Some of the fire action.
